摘要： Objective To better manage the development of pharmaceutical industry in Yunnan Province. Methods Cluster analysis and discriminant analysis were used to study the characteristics of pharmaceutical enterprises distribution. And Pearson correlation analysis was applied to analyze the relationship between the economic data of pharmaceutical enterprises and regional industrial economy. Results and Conclusion Thirteen cities in Yunnan Province are classified into four levels according to the scales of pharmaceutical industry, while most of pharmaceutical enterprises are located in Kunming. The revenue and profit of pharmaceutical enterprises mainly come from technical innovation which is based on talents’ contribution. However, majority of talents prefer to settle in Kunming and that eventually leads to unbalanced regional development.
