    Objective To provide China's social pharmacy education institutions, students and their employers with information on the factors influencing the employment choices of social pharmacy postgraduates. Methods Social pharmaceutical postgraduates in China Pharmaceutical University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University and the Pharmacy School of Tianjin University were surveyed for their comprehensive capacity. Data were analyzed using the Probit regression model. Results and Conclusion Students’ monthly expenditure level, their mothers’ occupation, and the ability of students’ organization, coordination, innovation, communication had strong effects on employment choices. China's social pharmacy education sector should create a teaching environment that cultivates the comprehensive capacity of the students.

    Objective To study the status quo of licensed pharmacists associations in China and to provide suggestions for their future development. Methods Fourteen licensed pharmacists associations in China were surveyed using questionnaires and through interviews by telephone, fax or E-mail. Results and Conclusion The questionnaire survey response rate was 78.6%. Some of study hypotheses were confirmed. The licensed pharmacists associations in China have the characteristics of both governmental and non-governmental organizations. The operation of the associations varies greatly.

    Objective To compare and discuss GMP certification in Australia and China. Methods The drugs quality supervising experience in Australia was studied, including GMP system and audit, and compared with that in China. Results and Conclusion There are serious flaws in Chinese GMP system which must be improved to adapt to the trend of international integration, and promote domestic medicine enterprises to enter the international market.
